"Swab For the Cure" with Busybee Homestore & Design Center
by James BoneyAlthough minorities are statistically least likely to get Leukemia; they are, however, most likely to die from it. This is a result of the underwhelming amount of donor participation.
In an attempt to address this fact, Busybee Homestore & Design Center has partnered with DKMS to hold "Swab For the Cure" event at the Busybee location on South Street. Busybee owner, and Leukemia survivor, Anna Powers, is committed to seeing this as the largest swab event in Philadelphia this year.
The event itself will be held on Saturday, January 28th, from 12:00 - 6:00pm. So please take the time to come out and support a worthwhile cause. And remember, registering to become a bone marrow donor is more than just a cheek swab, it is a commitment to help save a life.
