by Desiree Raucci
Having a hard time finding the perfect outfit for this coming New Years Eve night? With these trends you will be the talk of the party...

New Years Eve has always been perceived as a magical night, a time for second chances, a time to fall in love and a time for resolution. One of the main themes surrounding the magic has always been love. Forgotten lovers reuniting as the countdown beings, or perhaps getting that kiss from the person you've wanted all year. Many film makers have used New Years Eve as the main premise of their movies, recently the star studded film simply titled "New Years Eve". The night brings us together dressed in our most sophisticated attire usually involving sparkles or sequins, but the hunt to find the perfect outfit can be one of the most nerve racking experiences. So consuming, it may allow the search for the perfect smooch to slip your mind until five minutes before the confetti falls and the horns start blowing. If you are looking for a little help in the fashion department then these ideas are exactly what you have been searching for. I'll leave the hunt for the perfect kiss as the ball drops, up to you.

Sequins are always a good staple to go with while ringing in the New Year. New takes on the style include one sleeve, the sweetheart neckline and two tone .

Glitter hairspray, the perfect way to add some sparkle to your hair! Whether you're wearing your hair down or up, it is the perfect touch!

Lip sticker tattoos are the newest trend in lip couture, and for New Years Eve what a better idea! Crazy, fun lip stickers that will not wear off during your many glasses of champagne and more importantly your New Years kiss!

Another lipstick trend sweeping fashion culture is colored lipstick. For example a deep blue, shocking aqua or whatever your heart desires! Anything unconventional is the way to go for this special night. Celebrities like Lady Gaga have been seen wearing this trend and why can't you get your "Gaga" on New Years Eve?

Flapper style, a comeback from the 1920s.. Dresses with fringe add life to the dance floor while you're shaking your booty. If you're feeling wild, replace the traditional fringe with layered feathers for a fun new look.

Platform shoes, forget the skinny stiletto! Looking for a shoe to dance in and not have to amputate your feet at the start of the new year? This fashionable chunky heel adds great comfort and many designers have been coming up with smoking hot styles, like Jeffrey Campbell and Steve Madden.

Velvet is no longer a forgotten fashion trend of the eighties, 2012 will be welcoming it back with open arms. Not only great for dresses but also shoes, hair accessories and handbags. This look hugs the curves of your body and if you happen to be standing outside, keeps you nice and toasty!

With these helpful hints, ring in the New Year with fashionable storm!
